My wife and I traveling across country recently were fortunate to stay in St. Augustine for a few days and attend the Memorial Presbyterian Church. The congregation and pastors were so friendly. It was a little bit of Heaven on earth. Thank you all so much for your warm Southern hospitality to strangers on the road (Good Samaritans).

Although I have lived in St. Augustine for a portion of my fifty years, my family has been rooted in the community for at least a hundred. My parents fell in love here as high school sweethearts do. Everywhere I turn in St. Augustine, there is a potential for a truth to revile about the past. I truly enjoy the heritage and privilege left to me, made possible through the sacrifice of others. What a wonderful gift..

Through these past few years, I have enjoyed serving in the community and worshiping in various Churches. As I continue to do so, it is my hope to document these stories and make them assessable for all to share through digital media. Maybe these stories will not just entertain, but bring an understanding as to how we got to this point.

I had hoped to begin the venture as a Memorial to my parents; my Mother in particular. It was my vision to create a higher education initiative for at-risk youth to document stories of elders in a digital open source (free) format that could be accessible through web services. This potential could explode into a new delivery of community-based education. Although this may still happen, my Mother passed away 01-13-2013 and I am struggling to cope with this loss. Please pray for me as I have come to Christ and the good Doctor for times of healing and comfort.

My Mother was known by many names, born Nellie Jane Francis Neighbors. She was endearing as a child is to Christ, and is now embraced where she belongs.

Loved listening to the Nov. 25th sermon. Really made me think about what is 'truth' in my life, in the world's view, and how this country lives......in truth or in false hope. As Jesus showed truth in his eyes, I believe that is our mission, to show truth through our passion and giving and through our eyes.

Hey Dudley,
I don't know if you remember me but we used to live in the same neighborhoods and attend the same schools many moons ago. It is great to see you again, online...I enjoyed listing to some of your sermons. Hope to see you in person up there in St. Augustine one day...my wife (a photographer) has taken many shots of your lovely church on our previous trips to St. Augustine (we live down in Viera, FL next to Melbourne). I hope I didn't terrorize you back in those kid days...we (Tom Waddell, David Ledbetter and I used to bully all the younger kids, I regret to say) If you were a victim, I'm sure you, as a good man of God, will forgive...LOL. Again, good to see you here and hope to see you in the flesh before too long. Be Blessed, David

Hi, David. Thanks, David, for making contact and I appreciate your comments. I don't remember being bullied, so don't give that a second thougth. When you and your wife are this way, please be in touch. I would love to say hello.
